Calathea's prefer bright filtered light, Direct bright light will spoil the leaf colouring.

W A T E R I N G

During the active growth period water plants plentifully - as often as necessary to keep the potting mix thoroughly moist.  In the rest period water enough to keep the soil moist, but allow the top half inch of the soil to dry out between waterings.  Room temperature water is best.

H U M I D I T Y 

If you have a humidifier, keep it close by and make sure your Calathea is in a humid environment.  You can always give it a mist with water every few days.

F E E D I N G 

Calatheas should be given Kelpman Specialty Fertilizer every two weeks during the active growth period.
